1. Map Info:

2. Installation instructions:
-----------------------------

Unzip the entire contents of the .zip file to your 'Map's directory.
It path to this directory should look similar to this:

My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps


There are two versions of this map. One map has the lighting set in the day time. (Lab X)
The other has the lighting set at night. (Lab X (night))

3. Uninstall information:
-------------------------

To uninstall the map, simply delete the 'Lab X' folder and the 'Lab X (night)' folder
from your 'Maps' directory.


4. How to play the map:
-----------------------

This map is a special scripted 'Art of Defence' type map. This means that it is NOT your
ordinary skirmish map. Up to six human players can do battle against one AI player, which
will attack from certain areas on the map for a set duration of time. Your mission is to
defend the 'Secret Lab' facility in the center of the map for 15 minutes. If the 'Secret Lab'
facility is destroyed, the game will be lost.

To win, simply prevent the 'Secret Lab' facility from being destroyed by the AI.

Sounds simple doesn't it? ;)

Please note that you must select certain AI player types for the map to work, and the
appropriate scripts to be activated.

The USA AIRFORCE AI will work on all 3 difficulty levels (Easy/Medium/Hard).
I recommend that players that are new to Art of Defence style maps start at the 'Easy'
USA AIRFORCE AI, since the Medium setting raises the difficulty level quite a bit, and the
Hard setting can be quite difficult, even for good players.

The USA AI will also work on all 3 difficulty levels, but the difficulty is SET no matter
which difficulty level you choose. The USA AI (aka 'SIEGE AI'), waits slightly longer before
it attacks, but once it starts to attack, you'd better have your defences ready, as this
script spawns heavily armed and highly enhanced units. Recommended for elite Art of Defence
players.

The USA AIRFORCE AI mainly spawns attacks from the aircraft. While the USA AI mainly focuses
on massed ground assaults, be prepared for anything... ;)

8. Not so Frequently Asked Questions:
-------------------------------------

Q. Why is the map 'lagging'?
A. This can be due various things:

1. One of more scripts are currently running and are being processed:
Be patient, the 'lag' should not last too long, and will eventually go away.

2. Eventual game slowdown over time:
When there are lots of units moving all over the map, the game WILL slow down. The solution:

If they belong to the AI, DESTROY THEM! :P

3. You are running programs in the background that are taking up resources. Obviously, this
might have an effect on game performance. Close them down before you play. :P


Q. I keep losing/dying! This is too hard! What can I do to win?
A. Build QUICKLY!

Try not to leave a single dozer idle. Seconds spent doing nothing is
seconds that the AI has to throw its next wave at you.

Build INTELLIGENTLY!

Putting all your power plants in a cluster is just inviting the AI to drop a MOAB or nuke on
top of it, and wipe out your power. VERY lethal, if you're playing as the Laser or
Superweapon general.

PAY ATTENTION!

If the lab has taken damage, send a dozer/worker to repair it! Not later, do it NOW! Damage
that is not repaired will eventually wear it down, as units penetrate the defences and
attack it. If your defences are good, the AI shouldn't even get the opportunity to hit the
lab.


Q. This is too easy! Is that really all you've got?
A. Try the USA AIRFORCE AI on 'Hard' difficulty. Then try the USA AI. If you still think
it's too easy, you're either an elite Art of Defence player, or you're just BS'tting. :)
In the future, I plan to make another map, which will expand on the ideas and concepts that
I've learnt while creating this map, and the scripts that go with it.
